How To Stand Out During The Busy Holidays

Here we are again wrapping up another year. As the holidays get closer, the year gets busier. It’s easy to overlook an ever-important aspect of your business. It’s common to get so focused on working hard and getting new clients that you may leave some serious money on the table with the easiest to get clients.

I’m talking about your existing clients and previous clients. Repeat business is much easier to capture than brand new business. And, here’s a helpful hint that will get you in front of them – send them a happy holiday card.

You may be thinking “duhhhh”. Here’s where you want to pay closer attention and stand out from the crowd with your clients and potential clients during these busy holidays.

Almost everyone sends a Christmas card and yours will be one of many. This year, get ahead of the crowds and it may pay off for you big time.

Action steps –

You’ll want to start this RIGHT AWAY.

Go over your list of leads to see who you have mailing addresses for. If there are some good, warm prospects you don’t have addresses for, get their address.
Select some nice Happy Thanksgiving cards at your stationary store. Send Out Cards also has a nice assortment. You want the card to be nice so your prospective client will keep it out for a while. And, every time she looks at the card… guess who she thinks of – YOU!

Question – What if the budget doesn’t allow you to send cards to everyone on your list?

Answer – This is a good question and a common one. In this case, apply the 80-20 rule. You can count on 20% of your list purchasing 80% of your goods and services. You want to look back at who has purchased from you. Definitely send a card to them. Also, look for any warm leads – those who have inquired but just haven’t made the decision yet. Definitely send them a card.

Question – Do you need to send a physical card? Can you just send an e-card?

Answer – You can send an e-card to everyone on your list. And, I encourage you to do so. You want to send a physical card to your special 20%. Remember, this will remind them of YOU every time they look at it.

Plus, it’s nice to give a real heartfelt thanks. It will come back to you.

Get ahead of the rush. Don’t wait and only send Christmas cards, send Thanksgiving cards. And truly feel the gratitude of each and every client and prospect that you get to help.

How To Stand Out During The Busy Holidays — 1 Comment

  1. I am thankful that you were here for me when I needed you during my hip
injury order. And thankful for all the care giving you gave me, all the trips
to the doctors office for my appointments, all the meals you fixed for me.

I am thankful that I have a nice clean place to live while I am trying to
get back on my feet financially.

Mostly, thank you for being you, and for being here.

    All My Love,

    Mom
