Getting Crystal Clear About What You Offer

If you’re like most entrepreneurs, you’re really good at numerous things. This is a double edged-sword. How do you tell potential clients how wonderful you are and all the ways you can help them without giving them a litany of your talents that leaves them completely confused?

How do you know if you’re giving them too much information or not the right information for them to decide to work with you? HINT — If you’re getting the answer “I’ll think about it”, you’ve overwhelmed them and left them dazed and confused. Bets are, they still don’t really know what you do.

Do you know what you really do? Can you say what you do in one clear, concise sentence? You want to get this down. This is powerful. To give you an idea of how powerful this is… most of my private clients get to experience my specialized system to help them hone in on their magnetic marketing message. My private clients Rick and Rosalie Malter, of the Malter Institute, are incredibly talented and offer many services to their clients. The problem was they were confusing their prospects. And a confused mind says “no”. This resulted in small and sporadic paychecks, leaving them feeling frustrated and exhausted.

We honed in their message and as a result, their income tripled and they have more time off to travel and enjoy their increased income. That’s how powerful it is to have a clear, concise message. If you don’t have this, contact me and I’ll share my specialized system with you.

Action Steps:

1. Write down everything you offer to your clients

2. Now, this is extremely important, examine all of the tools you share with your clients and notice the RESULTS these tools bring to your clients.

For example a massage therapist has several “tools” to choose from to help her clients, such as deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, hot stone therapy, and maybe even Reiki. None of these tell the client what you do for them (the results).

The results are “After a massage with (name) you’re completely relaxed and rejuvenated… feeling and looking 10 years younger.” That’s the result your clients are looking for. Yes, if they ask, you can share with them how you get the results i.e.: deep tissue massage starting with hot rock relaxation…

3. You get the idea, now it’s your turn:

Reword your marketing to talk about your results, not your tools
